ABOUT THE PATTERN
When I got back into knitting (in 2018), I created this pattern and continued to alter it until I was really happy with the headband for myself. When I started selling knitted goods on Etsy, I continued to alter the pattern to fit a larger range of sizes. I love this cozy design so much that now I’m going to share my secret with you!
This is a fun, quick knit that creates a cozy, warm ear warmer headband. I love to wear mine in all types of chilly weather! They are perfect for spring and fall walks, and even for the winter when you don’t want to wear a hat! Your yarn type will be the primary factor determining how warm your ear warmer will be. This pattern is available in sizes baby through large adult.
This pattern includes both written instructions and charted instructions in a single PDF, but the pattern layout makes it easy to print only the written or charted instructions for the size that you are working! I recommend knitting the size that provides 1-3 inches (2-8 cm) of negative ease, depending on the stretchability of your yarn.

TECHNIQUES
This pattern uses knit, purl, cable stitches. It is a great pattern for a beginner knitter who is excited to learn how to cable. The pattern is worked flat. You can choose to cast on and bind off as normal and then seam your ends together, or you may choose to use a provisional cast on and bind off using the kitchener stitch.
