My Foxy Fraise
my foxy fraise | a long foxy scarf to curl around your neck and snuggle into!
fraise (freiz) n. a ruff worn around the neck in the 16th century
July 2019
It’s been 6 years since I designed My Foxy Fraise and I’ve decided to give him a mini makeover using uptodate yarns. Look for My (all new) Foxy Fraise www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/my-all-new-foxy-fraise! You can of course still purchase this pattern if you prefer!!
I use US crochet terms and you’ll only need to know a few basics - forming magic rings, single/double crochet and single/double crochet increasing and decreasing.
The finished scarf measures 147cm x 6cm from nose to tail and will wrap around the neck twice. It could be made into a shorter scarf for kids or a single wrap scarf/ collar by simply doing less rounds on the body section.
I’ve always fancied a foxy scarf but most of the patterns I’ve seen are knitted (I hate knitting and don’t do dpns), or not quite what I had in mind; so the only way to get what I had in mind was to design it myself … and my foxy fraise is exactly what I had in mind!
