My Garden Grows
If only growing my garden was as easy as growing a scarf, ah…wouldn’t life be wonderful. But alas, for now I will have to stick to scarves. Lacy leafs, seeds and vines make up a nice display for any garden patch, only this garden doesn’t require sunshine, watering and weeding. And most important, the deer won’t eat up the best parts!
The stitches used in this project are pretty basic, the toughest being Purl 3 together and then the Kitchener Stitch for joining the 2 ends. The main body is a 20 row repeat, all patterns written and charted both for whichever works best for you.
Materials needed include 765 - 790 yds. of sport weight yarn, #5 needles, stitch markers and holder, tapestry needle, and don’t forget the pattern!
As with most scarf patterns, substituting different weight yarns and needles do produce varied results and are always fun to see the outcome.
So enjoy your new project.
