My Hat nr. 1

I started my hat knitting with a set of bonnets for my son who had just moved to New York (cf. my Ravelry page). When I had finished the series, I thought of knitting some for myself using the same Fair Isle technique but concentrating on patterns, colors and yarn qualities.

So I decided to try uncomplicated motives but use lots of colors and textures combined with a few simple color knitting rules to discover where such an abstract project would bring me. Since the general grid was going to be more or less similar from one hat to the other, I found it appropriate just to number the different versions. So this is the number 1 hat; number 2 will be ready shortly and the ideas for number 3 are on their way inspired by autumn vineyards.

You will need one skein of Koigu KPM in grey and one Koigu KPM in coral red - unless you choose to change the color combination.

So just feel inspired and create your own series !
