My Little Jellyfish
My Little Jellyfish is a pattern for using up that leftover skein after knitting all your friends and family ruffle scarves. It is designed to use up whole skeins and there are no pesky fray ends to deal with. My Little Jellyfish is knit in one piece from the epidermis, with tentacles just under the hood, ending at the mouth surrounded by fluttering oral arms. Make a jellyfish bloom mobile or hang one like a teru teru bōzu. Complete your aquarium with My Little (Octo) Slug and My Little Blowfish!
Pattern is worked top down in the round in one piece and you can hide all the tails inside the body. There are 3 pdfs, one for Frill Seeker, one for a mini version in Frill Seeker Light, and one for Moda. Each pattern is 2 pages long and include photo directions for knitting the tentacles and oral arms.
- Frill Seeker: ~74cm/29in to knit 24 stitches. One ball makes one jellyfish about 15cm/6in in diameter
- Frill Seeker Light: ~56cm/22in per 24 stitches. One ball makes two jellyfishes about 10cm/4in in diameter, or four jellyfishes about 6cm/2.5in in diameter.
- Moda: ~72cm/28in to knit 20 stitches. Two balls to make one jellyfish about 12.5cm/5in in diameter.
With thanks to tabi for tech editing and to furrricane for the photography.
