Little Pony Amigurumi
This amigurumi pattern includes instructions inspired by My Little Pony’s Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash. You can also mix it up with your own fun color combinations.
The finished size is 6 inches (15 cm) tall when made with DK/sport yarn and a 3 mm or 3.25 mm hook. You can make larger ponies (about 7 or 8 inches tall) with worsted yarn and a 3.5 mm hook.
You’ll need two 6mm black plastic eyes for each pony, stuffing, yarn, hook, scissors, pins, yarn needle, and a stitch marker. (Plastic eyes not recommended for children under 3.)
The parts are made in continuous spiral rounds. You will need to know how to read a crochet pattern and how to make a chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, triple crochet, increases, decreases, and work in back loops or front loops. You will also need to know how to use a needle and yarn to sew crocheted parts together and weave in or hide ends.
A special thank you to Terriko for sharing her free pony pattern in her blog; her ideas helped me develop this version.
