My Martini Beanie! ‘Tis the season for a warm cozy and fun themed beanie! This beanie is knit in the round and written for circular needles but you can easily adapt it to DPNS if that is your preferred method. The first section is a simple 2x2 ribbing. The main part of the pattern is stranded knitting colorwork. This is an advance beginner pattern and is an easy introduction to colorwork.

Add a handmade or purchased pompom and you have a stylish fun beanie.

Sample Knit:
I have made the Medium beanie using:

  • 1 skein (50g/1.75 oz) of Berroco Mochi (37% Alpaca, 35% Nylon, 26% Fine Merino, 2% Other Fibre) in colorway Elderberry; and
  • 1 skein (50g/ 1.75 oz.) of Garnstudio Drops Air (65% Alpaca, 28% Polymide, 7% Wool) Aran Yarn in a cream colourway. Substituting other ran-weight yarns would be appropriate as long as you meet gauge.

Difficulty: Advanced Beginner
You will need to know how to cast on, knit and purl stitch and decrease (instructions provided). Introduction to stranded knitting as well.
