This simple variation on a rib makes for an easy to memorize two row repeat that has a great texture, while using only knit and purl stitches. Both written and charted directions are given. It looks nice in any yarn, solid or multi color, and knits up fast. I think you will agree that this “mistake rib” makes for a “perfect” sock!

Although this pattern is written for two circular needles, it can easily be adapted to other methods, and is equally easy to knit two at a time. (The pattern repeat is 4sts long)
