This Shetland Lace Shawl is my own design. I’ve designed it as a Challenge for and celebration of my 5th Anniversary as a member of My Peak Challenge (look for more information at www.mypeakchallenge.com )
The design is a mix of traditional patterns and my own designed patterns.
The explanation of why I used the patterns in the design of the Shawl, comes with the description/pattern of the Shawl.
All proceeds of the selling of the Shawl and pattern will be donated to Blood Cancer UK, one of the charities supported by My Peak Challenge.
This Shawl is ca. 175x175 cm after blocking.
I used needles size 2 (US0), the yarn is a mix of 50% Real Shetland Wool and 50% Lambswool, Shade White. This is a kind of natural / unbleached white colour. Of course you can use any colour you like. It has 4 different charts.
The knitting of the Shawl is traditional Shetland. (Kind of Heirloom Knitting)
