My Prairies
When people talk about the prairie, they are usually referring to the golden, where endless wheat-covered land is meeting blue sky at the horizon. In my childhood I spent many my summer vacation in South Ukraine near city called Kherson. For many, many kilometers the picture remains the same – no trees, no bushes – only yellow and blue. In the early morning the air is already very hot and everyone is trying to find shade aria to hide. We loved climbing on the top of haystack and staying until dark to see the falling stars and making wishes.
The colors of this shawl reminds me worries free time and my happy childhood.
