“My Sassenach” Shawl
This is designed to be a beginners shawl, for those that are able to knit, purl, and knit into the back of a stitch.
It’s triangular in shape and requires no stitch counts, row counts, gauge or blocking, so if you have cast on before and made the starting scarf, square or wash cloth, this can provide the beginning of shawl and garment making for you.
Of course anyone more experienced can also enjoy an easy knit whilst watching television or just to have in your bag to knit a few rows when you can.
The style is typical to shawls worn in the 1800s and I hope you will have fun choosing you colours to create it and that it brings much enjoyment in the wearing.
I have finished it with tassels, but those are completely optional, but full instructions are included here for you.
the meterage stated is dependant on your skein meterage, you are using 3 skeins so will vary accordingly to what you choose, but will work with any standard dk skeins.
