My simple grey
I always wanted a really simple, minimal, cosy sweater.
I had this super smooth sport weight merino by Kicsikató.
So, I made this.
It is a seamless top-down sweater with long, raglan sleeves and turtle neck in size 36. It has aprox. 10 cm positive ease. Made with only stockinet stiches knitted in round, increases, decreses, and that’s all.
My version is quite short, but you can knit as long as you want, or as long as your can. Unfortunatelly, 4 skein of sport weight yarn could do only this lenght.
Materials:
4 skein of sport weight merino (300m/100g). It is Kicsikató sport merino in color „Super Moon”.
Please, don’t forget, that you may need more skein, if you would like to knit a little longer sweater!
Circular needles in size 3,5.
PLease note, that I am a very loose knitter. You may need needles in size 4.
Longer is better. I use 80-100 cm long circular needles, and use magic loop technic for the beginning, too.
stich markers
Gauge: 21 sts x 30 rows in stockinet stich, in 10 x 10 cm, after blocking.
Final size:
brust: 53cm (106 cm in round)
length: 51 cm
lenght at underarm: 25 cm.
sleeve length from neckline 70 cm.
This corresponds to size 36.
It depends on your yarn weight, your yarn label, your needle size, your knitting style, and so…
