Another favorite from my own sock drawer.

If you have gotten to know me, I have 2 favorite types of yarn: mohair and sock yarn. When I combine them together in a sweater or a pair of socks, I always feel like something magical is taking place.

…and as you can see in the pictures, these are as soft and cozy as they look.

For this pair, I was trying out: a new gauge, a larger needle size and a different cable method to accommodate holding 2 yarns together. I think I finally figured out the right combination.

The cables in this design are performed across 2 rows to make it easier to perform when the two yarns are held together. The overall look still appears as one large cable.

Similar to the other “My Sock Drawer” patterns, this is a one off design and written for two sizes. Eventually, the components are used in my multiple sized patterns. If you have purchased one of my multiple sized sock patterns, these are a Sock Width Size 4 (5).

Foot circumference: 8 ½ to 9 ½ inches (21 to 24 cm)
Leg length from base of heel: 5 ½ inches (14.5 cm)
The yardage listed is for each yarn individually.

The sock is constructed from the toe up with a short row heel.
