The design is the color block socks, knitted from the cuff down. Cuff is the twist-stitch ribbing, Leg is the Stockinette stitch pattern, and both are worked in the round. Heel flap is knitted back and forth on needle 1. Heel turn is shaped in short rows as it described. Instep is worked flat separately on needle 2, and then stitches are picked from the Instep to create the contrasting color Foot. Check and compare the approx. total foot length and the length from heel to toe (table 1.1 and 1.2). Continue in the round for Toe, decreasing stitches in sections and then sew up with the Kitchener stitch.
