4-in-1 dinosaur. As pictured this pattern is of a Stegosaurus, and included photos over every single step. It also include modifications for a brontosaurus (long-neck) and a t-rex, also for just a basic baby dinosaur if you don’t want to make it a specific species. Only available on Ravelry.

Materials

  1. Bernat yarn, worsted weight. I choose Bernat super value solids because the texture allows for using a 5.00mm hook and it maintains the tightness required for amigurumi very well without straining your hands. Could be swapped for Red heart super saver. One skein of Red, one of blue. All body parts are made in red, with blue in the legs, spots, plates, and spikes. (any two colors you want will work) Color variation suggestion-choose a multi colored yarn for your accent pieces and a coordinating solid for the main color.
  2. Safety eyes- these are a post with ridges and a plastic back the presses on tightly. That way the eyes cannot be a safety hazard. 6mm-9mm can be used. Depending on preference. This dinosaur is fairly large. It measures 11”-13” depending on tension and placement in sewing. The one pictured was about 12” tall.
  3. Need a crochet needle for sewing in the ends- I prefer to use the metal ones. I find with the tighter stitches I tend to break the plastic ones.
  4. Craft scissors
  5. 5.00mm hook
  6. safety pin/stitch marker

NOTE: This pattern is specifically for a Stegosaurus, but has modifications to make a brontosaurus, or a t-rex. You can also make a basic dinosaur by following the exact pattern and leaving off the tail plates and spikes. So this pattern is 4-in-1
