My Succulent Garden
After searching for a pattern to make for a custom gift, I created this version of a variety of succulents. This pattern includes several options for each plant is also customizable for a variety of pots. Plant patterns are very forgiving as mistakes somehow always end up looking natural. I hope you like this pattern as much as I do. I’d love to see what you make!
Sizes:
6” to 12” sitting height including pot
Lots of options included to adapt the pattern for a custom plant pot.
Skill Level:
Quick and Easy to Moderate: Simple stitches, a medium hook and yarn and no gauge makes this a fun beginner project. Mistakes just add character!
Stitch Abbreviations:
Chain (ch)
Double crochet (dc)
Half double crochet (hdc)
Single crochet (sc)
Single crochet back loop only (scblo)
Single crochet 2 together (sc2tog)
Slip stitch (sl)
Stitch/stitches (st)
Materials Needed:
5 mm (US size H) crochet hook
Worsted weight yarn in several colors of your choosing. I used Bernat Premium yarn, and love Chocolate Tweed for the dirt.
Polyester stuffing
Plant pot: 3” high and 3 ½” across top (easily found a garden centers and dollar stores) Or use a similar size mug, cup, case or votive holder.
Tapestry needle to weave in ends and sew up
