This pattern came about because my tree was sadly lacking in Quidditch this year.

As a Hufflepuff, I’m used to making my own fandom items, since until Newt Scamander came along we were under-represented in official merchandise.*

I used Vanna’s Glamour in Gold and Moonstone for this.
You’ll get quite a few out of the two skeins of yarn.

In spite of what the gauge says, it’s not important.
Suggested needle size for the yarn given is a US 5; I used a US 1.5.

In addition to yarn and needles, you’ll need a 12”-15” piece of wire, or a pipe cleaner, a darning needle, and a crochet hook to make an ornament hanger if you so desire.

Clearly, this is not official merchandise; it’s a fan-made tribute to the Golden Snitch and the wider, amazing universe of Harry Potter.
