My True Love Wrap is inspired by the Twelve Days of Christmas, and features four different lace sections to represent key elements of the festive song all wrapped up in a cosy… well wrap! You will enjoy textures created by mixing different yarn bases, simple lace patterns and an elegant shape created by knitting on the bias. The pattern has been designed specifically for the Birdstreet Yarn Advent Calendar 2021, however you can easily create your own selection of mini skeins to use!

Yarn Requirements:
The sample was created using the Birdstreet Yarn 2021 Advent Calendar which comprises of:
16 x 20g mini skeins of Hiddleston 4 ply (75% merino, 25% nylon) (93yds/85m per 20g) 465yds/425m
AND
4 x 25g skeins of Alpaca Silk laceweight (74% suri alpaca, 26% silk) (164yds / 150m per 25g)

The total yardage required of fingering weight yarn is: 16 colours of 79yds / 72m (17g) or a total of 1264yds / 1152m (272g).

The total yardage required of laceweight alpaca is: 4 colours of 99yds / 90m (15g) or a total of 394yds / 360m (60g).

Recommended Needle Size:
3.5mm (US Size 4) circular needle measuring 24” (60cm) long, or appropriate size to obtain gauge.

Gauge: 24 sts / 32 rows = 4 inches (10cm) in stockinette stitch holding one strand of fingering weight yarn.
