The challenge of this pattern is the use of SHORT ROWS!

The gauge: because I wanted a warm, wintry scarf, I used 4.5mm needles, and so the gauge remained close to the gauge of the original yarns. Using 5mm needles - of even 5.5mm - would perhaps be more appropriate.

The Katia yarn is 420 meters in length. This is enough for a 150cm scarf only. On page 3 of the instructions, I discuss other options.
