Myrande's Christening
“Myrande’s Christening” was the first in my series of ensembles for 7.5 inch and 5 inch Berenguer baby dolls -- it is included in my Donna Raye’s Dolls pattern set, but has also gained popularity as a “Solo” thanks to its selection for inclusion in the 2011 Crochet Pattern A Day Calendar.
Originally made in baby yarn for a 7.5 inch soft-bodied “Lots to Cuddle” Baby (or the 7.5” vinyl “Mini La Newborn”), this outfit is also a perfect fit for the 5 inch “Lots to Love” baby when made with size 10 crochet cotton (larger photo). I’ve since discovered that, made with baby yarn and using a size E crochet hook, the ensemble will also fit the chubby 8” vinyl baby doll. Pattern set includes gown, bonnet, panties, and booties.
Myrande’s Christening is featured as an electronic download; it is also available in a print edition exclusively at the linked site.
