Myrtillus
This pattern is still available in its original format from Knotions.
But, the Updated Version 2.0 in May 2024.
Now has
- New layout for charts and corresponding written, line-by-line instructions.
- Simplified directions for the leg.
- Mirrored cables, for more brain pleasing look.
Myrtillus is a pair of house socks, boots if you will, that will keep your toes warm and toasty all winter long. Worked toe up with gusset and heel flap, and a beautiful cable shrub of blueberries on the back of your leg. That’s right, the European Blueberry’s binomial name is vaccinium myrtillus and it’s my favorite berry to find in the forest.
The yarn is heavy, and the needles may seem too small for yarn like this, but the fabric is supposed to be sturdy enough so the cuff can almost stand up by itself! The seed-stitch on the leg will add to the sturdiness.
