Myrtle Sunrise Cowl
This cowl is perfect to wear with any outfit. It would look great with a dress or with a casual outfit. And it’s reversible! The stitches create a simple, yet beautiful, texture on both sides. The inspiration for the name of this pattern came from the colors of this beautiful yarn from Teal Torch Knits. The colors remind me of the colors that I see when I watch the sun rise at Myrtle Beach, SC. That is our family’s favorite vacation spot, and one of our favorite things to do when we are there is watch the sun rise.
This cowl is so warm and cozy! It will be perfect to wear during the fall and winter months! It even gives you options on how to wear it because it’s reversible! Both sides look different. It works up quickly and is very easy to make! This is a quick, fun, and satisfying project for any level of crocheter, although this is a beginner level pattern.
This cowl uses about 230 yards of Dk weight yarn, a 4.5mm crochet hook, and a yarn needle for weaving in ends. I used 1 skein of Teal Torch Knits TTK DK.
Gauge is 13.5 rows by 15.5 stitches of Half Double Crochet to equal a 4 inch square.
This pattern, like all of my patterns, has been thoroughly tested by skilled fiber artists.
