Mysa Socks
Mysa Socks are cozy slipper socks for lounging around on those long, dark winter nights. Imagine coming home from a long walk in the cold, making yourself a cup of hot cocoa, and cuddling up on the sofa with toasty warm feet.
These socks are knitted top down with a traditional slip stitch heel flap and gusset construction. Knitted in worsted weight yarn, they are a quick make and an ideal first top down sock. The design feature that makes these socks special is the chunky cuff worked in Rice Stitch. The pattern comes with two versions, a fold-down and a stand-up cuff. Rice Stitch is a bit more textured than garter stitch but almost as easy to knit; all that’s needed is a twisted stitch every second stitch in every other row. The wrong side of rice stitch almost looks like a classic 1x1 Rib, a lovely surprise if the socks are worn with the cuff folded up.
