Sometimes it’s necessary to put things into the naughty corner and enjoy a free day. Socks don’t have to match your clothes or flatter your figure. Feel happy to choose whichever colours that bring joy in your life! It’s not important to choose colours that look best with your skin type.
The most anticipated season of the year, Summer, officially arrives on June 21st,, when the Northern Hemisphere sees the longest and sunniest day of 2023. Mystics, pagans, witches and stargazers around the world celebrate the Summer Solstice which returns the position of the Sun to zero degrees of the cardinal zodiac sign Cancer. At the exact moment that the Sun illumines this point in the sky, it unlocks energetic themes which are activated till the Fall Equinox on September 23.
I take you step by step through the creation of what may be your first perfect pair of socks! The beginners socks have been designed to be worn with zero ease. Choose the size closest to your actual foot measurement.

MATERIALS: 100 gms fingering weight, 1 ball of Berroco Vintage Sock 400m 52% Acrylic, 40% Wool, 8% Nylon
Two 2.75mm circular knitting needles (or size to meet gauge). And two 2.25mm circular knitting needles (or size to match gauge). Needle size is only a suggestion. Use a larger size or a smaller size, to get the gauge in Stockinette st when washed & blocked.
Stitch markers, Darning needle, Scissors and a Measuring Tape.
GAUGE: 32 sts/48 rounds = 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette stitch on 2.25mm (smaller needles).
32 sts/32 rounds = 4 inches/10 cm in stockinette stitch on 2.75mm (larger needles).
