Welcome to the Mystery Knit Afghan 2025! This is my 9th Mystery Knit Afghan. The theme for this Afghan is… cables, cables, cables. I love knitting and designing these unique and stunning cable sections. It has been a joy to create these Afghans over the last 9 years and I am looking forward to another great year of Afghan knitting!

Have you ever started an Afghan, only to get bored with knitting the same pattern over and over again? Has the Afghan been put aside for a quicker and easier project? I know. I had started a few Afghans, but never finished them until I started these Mystery Knit Afghans. They are amazing and fun to design and knit! Each section is completely different and unique. PLUS, so many cables as usual! I love cable knitting!

There is also be NO picking up stitches in this knitting pattern. This Afghan will be knit from the bottom to the top.

PLUS this Mystery Knit comes with 3 different Afghan sizes:
Standard: 48” (122 cm) x 60” (153 cm)
Bonus: 60” (153 cm) x 72” (183 cm)
Lap: 36” (91 cm) x 48” (122 cm)

How does this work?
Upon purchased before January 10th, you will receive an information file with all of the information you need to start knitting on the 10th of January.

Please note: The release of each clue will be a bit different this year. Instead of the 15th of every month, the clue will be released on a Friday.

This Afghan is broken down into 7 clues. You will receive each new clue as an update to your Ravelry library. The clues will be released as follows:
Clue 1: January 10th
Clue 2: February 21st
Clue 3: March 28th
Clue 4: May 2nd
Clue 5: June 13th
Clue 6: August 1st
Clue 7: September 12th

Please note: This does not include the Mystery Knit Afghan 2025 pillow to match this Afghan. If you want to purchase both the Afghan and the Pillow, you can purchase the Set.

Yarn: Knit Picks Swish Worsted Weight Yarn

The yarn I chose again this year is Knit Picks Swish worsted weight yarn. It is a beautiful, soft wool yarn that comes in many colours. This Afghan will be beautiful in multi colours as well as one solid colour.

Standard: 2600 yards / 2340 m (24 skeins)
Bonus: 3895 yards / 3506 m (36 skeins)
