Mystical Path Hat

Mystical paths usually wind through a forest, are never really visible and suddenly take a bend or curve. You never know exactly where they lead or what to expect. Walking them with a brave heart and an open eye for the beauties along the path, the journey becomes a destination and where it leads us is secondary.

Construction
The mitts are knitted from the bottom up. It starts directly with the stitch pattern. Stitches are boff ound for the thumb opening and in the next round the stitches are cast on again. Then the upper hand is continues in the stitch pattern. Finaly all stitches are bound off loosely.

Needles
Preferred needles for small circumference knitting (circular or DPN) in size needed to obtain gauge. Sample was knit on 4.5mm / US 7 needles.

Gauge
20 sts and 32 rnds per 10cm / 4” worked in the rnd in stitch pattern, unstretched, after blocking.
Changes in gauge, will result in size differences and affect the amount of yarn needed to complete the project.

Mystische Pfade schlängeln sich moistens durch einen Wald, sind nie wirklich sichtbar und machen plötzlich eine Biegung oder Kurve. Man weiss nie genau, wohin sie führen oder was einen erwartet. Wenn man sie mit einem mutigen Herzen und einem offenen Auge für die Schönheiten entlang des Weges geht, wird die Reise zum Ziel und wohin sie uns führt, ist zweitrangig.

Konstruktion
Die Armstulpen werden von unten nach oben gestrickt. Das Muster startet sofort. Oben werden einige Maschen für die Daumenöffnung abgekettet und in der nächsten Runde neu angeschlagen. Dann wird wieder im Muster gestrickt und schlussendlich alle Maschen locker abgekettet.

Maschenprobe
20 M und 32 Rd per 10cm / 4” gestrickt in der Runde im Muster, ungedehnt, nach dem Spannen. Bitte beachte: weicht deine Maschenprobe von der oben genannten ab, hat dies Einfluss auf den Sitz und die Grösse der fertigen Mütze und dem von mir angegebenen Wollverbrauch.
