As the Summer days fade into Autumn, or Winter melts into Spring, there arises a need for something warmish around the neck, to keep that chilly wind out, but not as warm as a chunky scarf.

I thought of a little something not too bulky, not too warm. Something you could tuck under a jacket or wear over a pullover.

This pattern is a great stash-buster. It takes 130m of DK-weight yarn (just one 50g ball of Stansborough Mythral and a tiny bit more) – great for using up that left-over “ball and a bit” from a project. Alternatively, a wool yarn blended with a small amount of alpaca or mohair would best approximate the unique qualities of Stansborough Grey wool.
