Namaqualand Blanket
The Namaqualand Blanket was inspired by the beautiful flowers that grace the Namaqualand ‘veld’ every Spring. It is very special to me for many sentimental reasons, and it was specifically designed for my South African crochet tour with Be Inspired last year.
The finished blanket is a colourful square baby blanket with lots of texture (and many learning opportunities).
The pattern is currently only available as a photo tutorial on my website, with yarn packs available from my Wool Warehouse Shop (includes printed written-only pattern).
It uses Scheepjes Stonewashed (which is my favourite yarn at the moment) and a 4 mm crochet hook.
This pattern covers:
- Identifying the front and the back of your work
- Making the Magic Ring and the Invisible Join
- Making Popcorns the Really Lazy Way
- Making Back Post stitches
I hope you enjoy making this pattern as much as I have.
