INFO
Sometimes a very special fiber calls for a design that celebrates its origins. A velvety soft, heathered yarn spun from the combings of yaks that live on the Tibetan plateau was the inspiration for ‘Namtso,’ meaning a Tibetan holy lake.

The patterned bands of this triangular shawl suggest a terrain of grasslands, lakes, and mountains, all abstracted into an undulating rhythm. Savor the meditative nature of knitting as you transform your yarn into this richly textured fabric.

’Namtso’ is worked flat from the top down, starting with a garter tab. Stitches are increased along the edges and the center to create a shallow triangular shawl.

The pattern is fully written out and charted with stitch counts throughout the entire shawl.
