This sweet, little cardigan is an easy, perfect “first knit” for a baby or toddler/child. It is completely seamless, and as it is knit top-down you could customize length to the body, sleeves and frills (and even omit the frills, if you prefer to work ribbed edges for a boys version;))

Materials
YARN:I used the soft and lovely, 100% alpaca-yarn, “Indiecita” from Filcolana, to work the cardigan. This yarn comes in balls of 50gr/1.75oz and 160m/175yards. You will need 2/2/2/2/3/3 balls of this yarn.
NEEDLES: You need straight, or circular, needles 2.5mm/US1.5 to work the upper body, a circular needle 2.5mm/US1.5 for the lower body, dpns (or a long, circular needle, if working the magic loop). Needle size is a suggestion, you need to choose needles to obtain gauge.
A crochet hook for the buttonhole band, the neck edging, the button band.
MATERIALS: 8 buttons, 0.8mm/0.3” across. Tapestry needle. Blocking tools.
