Nana's Dresser Mosaic Afghan
ALL PROFITS FROM THIS PATTERN WILL BE DONATED TO CANCER RESEARCH
Nana’s Dresser is an overlay mosaic crochet pattern.
I designed this dresser with help from my amazing group of testers. I started off with the idea, and they helped me decide what to put on the dresser shelves. It was a really fun process, and I think we came up with a really lovely pattern together.
Now, I had originally named the blanket Gramma’s Dresser in memory of my own Grandmother.
However, the lovely Merry Gano, one of my testers and crochet friends, who tested this blanket for me, sadly passed away not long after she finished crocheting it.
Merry went by the name Nana to her friends and family, and therefore, in her honour, I have renamed this Nana’s Dresser.
All profits from this pattern will be donated to Cancer Research in her memory.
This pattern has all the charts and written instructions you need to complete the blanket.
Three PDFs are available - one using US terms, one using UK terms and a separate full chart PDF that is compatible with Knit Companion if that’s how you prefer to work. Otherwise, you can use the charts in the main PDF, either by printing them out and taping them together or viewing them on your mobile/tablet/laptop.
The main PDF has 20 easy-to-read charts (with Xs for DCs) and corresponding written instructions.
You can use any yarn and corresponding hook you like for this pattern; just remember high contrast colours are better for mosaic crochet.
This design looks great either in two colours, or you could go for it and go full mosaic tapestry with many colours. The choice is yours.
Please note that this pattern does not give instructions or yarn stats for mosaic tapestry crochet.
If using Red Heart Super Saver Yarn (198g = 333 metres/364 yards per skein), you will need approximately 14 skeins (2772 grams) in total.
- 6 skeins for Colour A – Background - total 2184 yards
- 6 skeins for Colour B – Dresser - total 2184 yards
- 2 skeins for a simple 3-row double border - total 728 yards
The blanket size (without a border) will be approx. 44” wide by x 65” long (177 stitches x 261 rows)
I hope you enjoy creating your own Nana’s blanket.
