Nana’s “Sweet As Can Bee” Filet Crochet Baby Blanket
An easy to memorize pattern repeat makes a cute and cheery baby blanket.
⬅️ For this blanket pictured I used Caron Cotton Cakes in Beach Glass. (4 skeins) This was when they first came out and were the smaller cakes. (211 yards / 3.5 ozs)
Due to the Cotton Cakes shorter color runs, I “deconstructed” the skeins and rolled them into individual balls. I then crocheted as many rows as I could get out of each ball. (Approx. 9 - 14 rows.) I used a size J hook.
The Purple Ombrè blanket was made using RHSS Ombrè and a size K hook.
-
Pattern is written in US terms.
-
Any weight of yarn can be used with a suitably size hook. Size will of course vary.
-
Approx. 800 - 900 yards.
-
Blanket measures approx. 34” x 38”.
-
To make blanket larger add stated multiple to the beginning starting chain.
