Nanook Blanket
This version of Nanook pattern is no longer available.
Nanook means polar bear in Inuit. The blanket shows a mother bear with her 3 adorable cubs. Two of the cubs, one riding the mother bear and one running after her, are worked in contrasting colour (CC) using Intarsia technique. A third cub frolicking on the top right hand corner is worked in the main colour (MC).
An alternative easier option is to knit the whole blanket in 1 colour. In this case, the yarn usage for MC is the same.
Yarn Usage:
6 balls of Rowan Baby Merino Silk (MC: SH699 Iceberg)
1 ball of Rowan Baby Merino Silk (CC: SH671 Straw)
Size:
Approx. 70cm x 70cm (27”x 27”)
