Naomi Socks
Worked top-down, with a heel-flap and gusset, these socks feature a longer leg for extra cosiness inside boots or wellies – perfect to wear for autumn and winter walks, crunching through crisp golden leaves, or squelching along muddy riverside paths. The top rib flows into the cable pattern, continuing onto the top of the foot, and returning to rib once more at the toe.
Skills required: Cast on, knit, purl, k2tog/p2tog/ssk decreases, simple cable stitches, knitting in the round, picking up stitches, Kitchener stitch.
This pattern is suitable for intermediate knitters, or those with experience of knitting both socks and cables.
