Nara is a small scarf that elevates any outfit. Wear it around your neck, use it as a hairband or tie it around your waist, depending on the length you choose. Brighten your look with bold colours or keep it simple with neutral tones. This project is perfect for playing with your creativity — and using up leftover yarn!

SIZE
One size.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Length: 31.5” / 80 cm (or adjust as desired).
Width: 2” / 5 cm.

MATERIALS
Yarn: Yarn A: 1 skein of Amirisu Drift
(60% super kid mohair, 40% silk, 656 yds / 600 m – 50 g), colourway: Green Rays.
Yarn B: 1 skein of La Bien Aimée Merino Singles (100% merino, 400 yds / 366 m – 100 g), colourway: Blanc.

The green sample was knitted with 2 strands of La Bien Aimée Helix (in colourway The Shire) and 1 strand of Daruma Silk Mohair (in colourway Olive) held together.

The scarf is knitted with both yarns held together.

Note! You will have plenty of leftover yarn, enough for multiple scarves or other small projects!

Alternatively, you can use any similar lace-weight or fingering-weight yarns with comparable yardages. The weight isn’t crucial; if you wish to knit a bigger scarf, you can simply choose a thicker yarn.

Needles: US 6 / 4 mm needles.

Notions: Tapestry needle.

CONSTRUCTION
The Nara scarf begins with a few stitches that form the i-cord edges. After simple increase rows, the body is worked in the established stitch pattern. The other end is shaped with decreases, and the i-cord edges are grafted together for a seamless finish.
