Nasturtium Bookmark
Half the proceeds from sales will go to breast cancer research; the charity to be chosen after I finish researching them.
I wrote this pattern while planning my summer garden. There were at least two feet of snow outside and ice laden winds were beating hard on the window panes. I needed some flowers; I needed something to remind me that yes, it will be warm again, and the flowers will be bright outside. This petite bookmark is a little reminder each time I open my book of summer flowers on the vines covering a garden trellis.
I made this from the palm sized ball of leftover fingering weight from a pair of fingerless gloves. Getting an exact gauge is unimportant, but the fabric should be fairly dense.
To add the beads you’ll need a small crochet hook and some beads that will make lovely ‘buds’ on your climbing vine.
