A sweater for my nephew’s lovey “Bear”.
The stripe colors were cut out of the multi and combined with the solid turquoise color. I love that this yarn is washable.
Finished measurements:
Back length - 6.5 “
Sleeve length - 5.5 “
Waist Circumference - 10.5 “
Neck Circumference - 5 “.
Body: #5 CO 56 join in round. Work 5 rows 2x2 rib. Change to #6 work in Stockinette for 28 rows.
Sleeves: #5 CO 24 join in round. Work 5 rows 2x2 rib.
Change to #6 work 1 row Stockinette. Next row K10 M1 K4 M1 K10. Work 1 row then increase row again. 28 stitches. Work in Stockinette for 16 rows.
Join sleeves and body to work yoke. 6 stitches from each sleeve and 6 stitches on either side of the body are placed on waste yarn and will be seamed later to create the armpit area. (88 stitches to start yoke). The decreases for the yoke are worked with 4 stitches in between, SSK on the right side of the 4 stitches and K2tog on the left side.
Decrease 8 stitches every other row until 36 stitches remain. Change to #6 and work 2x2 rib for 4 rows. Using stretchy BO, BO all stitches in rib.
Seam the stitches under each arm.
