Please note that this set is not entirely knitted. The faces of the people are made from stuffed stockinette fabric and their clothes are also simply made from fabric.

The instructions to make 6 characters are included in this pattern: Joseph - with a hat, cloak and staff, Mary - in her simple dress and cloak, Angel - with wings, flowing hair and a halo, Baby - wrapped in swaddling bands, Donkey - solid and doe eyed, Lamb - small and cute with a bell.

The pattern contains full instructions for knitting each character as well as comprehensive directions for making up the characters and creating their clothes. A full list of materials required is included so that you can gather all you need before you start. All the characters can be made from part balls of yarn - a variety of yarn is required from chunky to sock (fingering) weight.
