My cousin is pregnant! I have been knitting a few items for her, and I thought I should make something for her, not just her baby. So I decided to make a beanie to match her baby!
This beanie is in 1x1 rib, with a really cool decrease that to me looks like little vines or branches, and has been described as “little crowns” which I think is perfect.
The brim is knit in the contrast colour, and then the beanie is knit and the brim is flipped back so it stands out better.
This is a very easy pattern, the skills you will need are: knit, purl, ssk, k2tog and k3tog. If you are a confident beginner, you can do this easily!
You will need 60g of the contrast colour, and 120g of the main colour for an adult size.
Gauge is at 32 sts by 32 rows in K1P1 rib.

As always, I would love to see what you make! Tag me at @wattleand.wool on Instagram :)
