Naughty but Nice Victorian Elegance
A visit to the historic “House of Joy” in Jerome, Arizona, reputed to be the roughest, toughest town in the West in Victorian days, inspired Sasha Kagan to create this unconventional stocking. “Under the prim Victorian matron’s staid exterior, there was the elegant and slightly shocking stocking - a gesture toward the emancipation of women,” Kagan says. “I like to think that at Christmas, the stocking would be filled with perfumes, soaps, and other womanly extravagances.” Make this stocking for any smart, sexy lady, or for a Victorian parlor.
