This pattern includes instructions on how to make the octopus and starfish, how to make the wreath cover (to fit any sized wreath base) as well as how to assemble and decorate the finished wreath.

This pattern is written in English using American crochet terms and contains photos to help you every step of the way. All of my patterns have been independently tested prior to publication.

You will need:

• Yarn in red, white and beige for the wreath cover. The pattern will explain how to make the wreath cover the correct size in any weight yarn however I used chunky yarn (this is equivalent to bulky / weight 5 yarn).
You will need the following colours / quantities:
Red Chunky (approx. 75m).
White Chunky (approx. 75m).
Beige Chunky (approx. 49m).

• Aran weight yarn for the octopus and starfish (this is equivalent to worsted / weight 4 yarn). You could use Dk weight yarn (light worsted / weight 3) for these elements - they would just turn out a bit smaller.
You will need the following colours / quantities:
Gold (approx. 40m).
White (approx. 8m).

Please note = The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide.

You will also need:

• Suitable sized hooks for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 5mm hook with the chunky yarn (for the wreath cover) and a 4mm hook with the aran yarn (for the octopus and starfish).

• A 25 cm flat-backed polystyrene / styrofoam wreath base.

• Some finer black yarn or thread for adding the facial details and wreath lettering, and some finer blue yarn or thread for adding the stripe to the hat.

• Toy stuffing.

• A pair of 6mm black safety eyes.

• A tapestry needle (the longer, the better).

• You may find it useful to have some long nosed pliers (for pulling the needle through the wreath).

• Other tools you will need are some scissors and some pins.

You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself. Thank you.
