The pattern has a simple garter border to the edge, with mummy and baby whale surrounded by heart intarsia motifs that will be sure to make your nursery look complete.

Row by row written instructions, using only knit and purl stitches, it is the ideal project for new knitters and a relaxing knit for those more experienced.

This pattern approximately needs around 150gm of wool, based on using 4mm needles, double yarn and will measure approx. 22x22” when completed.

Tension
Stocking Stitch: 22 sts = 10cms/4 inches. 28 rows = 10cms/ 4 inches.

You will need to know the 4 most common knitting techniques; how to cast on, knit, purl and cast off.
