Nautilus Baby Blanket

I designed this baby blanket for my niece and her first child in Winnipeg, Canada. Because I live on the West Coast, I wanted something that represented the shore…the water…the place I hold dear. So the yarn is Handmaiden’s Sea Silk (dyed in Vancouver, BC) which contains a fibre made from seaweed. The colour and nautilus swirl, well, they’re obvious… This labour of love was started in Victoria, BC and finished in Guanajuato, Mexico, for a very special first grand-nephew!
If you can chain, single crochet and half-double crochet, you can make this blanket. You’ll need approximately 800 m of a fine (4-ply fingering) weight yarn.
