Pattern description from Knitting in America: “The Navajo Pullover was designed by Linda Romens, who sells her work at La Lana Wools and has given knitting classes there as well. In order to keep the price down, the black background is made with a machine-spun heavy worsted-weight wool. The color pattern uses three shades of La Lana’s Forever Random Blends: Apassionada, Zulu Prince, and Pastorale. While working out the design, Linda referred to a coloring book of Native American symbols and a book of Navajo rug patterns. For added interest, she decided to ass a small cable to the ribbing around the collar, wrists, and bottom band. See the front of the sweater in the photograph on page 99. The pattern appears on page 198.”

• 22 (25, 28, 31) oz of La Lana Wools Machine-Spun Worsted-Weight Wool in Black (A)
• 4 oz each of La Lana Handspun in Apassionada (B), Zulu Prince (C), and Pastorale (D)
• One pair each sizes 8 and 10.5 needles or size needed to obtain gauge
• Size 8 circular needle 24” long
• Stitch markers
