Navigation Beanie
Don’t forget to grab the matching Navigation Cowl pattern.
A gorgeous close fitting beanie to go with the matching Navigation Cowl.
Knit in the round from the bottom up, starting with a twisted rib section followed by an easy to memorise pattern. The pattern is formed using a simple Mosaic vertical stripe pattern where you will only ever be working with one colour on a row.
The stripes are created by slipping stitches from the left needle to the right without working them and carrying the yarn behind the slipped stitch.
This pattern is both written and partially charted. There are handy progress check boxes, so you can keep a visual track of where you are.
You will need the following :
DK yarn in two colours that contrast (clash?) REALLY well . Colour A & B = 30g (68m/74y) each.
You could also use a lightweight worsted such as Malabrigo Rios.3.75mm (US5) & 4mm (US6) 40cm/16in circulars or use magic loop if using a longer cable. Switching to 4mm dpns for decrease.
Stitchmarkers to use as beginning of round marker and repeat reminders in the decrease section.
I can’t wait to see what colour matches you come up with so please do be sure to start a project page or tag me on Instagram (@beanieboat).
If you like the look of this pattern it would be a huge help to me if you would give it a like as I have an overflowing notebook of ideas and this helps me understand what to work on next. Your support of my little dream is so appreciated. Every ‘like’ helps and it’s a known fact I do a tiny happy dance each time I get a notification. I am a terrible dancer!
