Navona
Navona is a top-down, seamless cardigan full of stripey goodness. When I began to work on this cardigan I asked myself what I would want to wear sitting on an outdoor terrace in a piazza in Rome, sipping a cappuccino while it is still a bit cool outside: the answer is Navona. Directly beneath the raglan yoke the contrasting stripes begin. Wide stripes grow increasingly narrower, while the main color stripes become wider. Navona features delicate moss stitch detailing on the hem and on the cuffs of the three-quarter-length sleeves as well as a wide shawl collar and button band. The relaxed fit and slight A-line shaping under the bust flatter any shape. Knit in a fingering weight yarn, Navona is the perfect project for delicious hand-dyed sock yarns; I used Malabrigo Sock.
