Nazar, or evil eye, motifs are seen as decorations all over Turkey and elsewhere. This cardigan takes its inspiration from the small evil eye beads, or nazar boncu, that are commonly pinned to children’s clothing as protection from negative energy.

Cardigan is worked back and forth from the bottom up. Sleeves are worked separately, then joined at the yoke. The simple stranded colorwork pattern has one three-color row that is worked on the right side; if desired the third color can be added by duplicate stitch instead.
