’Nduja top is a sleeveless top knit top down seamlessly. First, both upper pieces are worked flat, then they are joined and the body is worked in the round. Armhole ribbing and straps are then added. The top is reversible, the lace can be worn in back or in front. The knitter can choose to work one side of the top in plain stockinette stitch, or work the lace panel on both sides.

My sample top has a spicy, orange red color and in the lace pattern one can see the leaves and fruits of the chili pepper plant.

Sandnes Garn Mandarin Petit (100 % cotton, 180 m / 50g)

531, 567, 604, (642, 672, 719), 777, 809, 851 m /580, 620, 661, (702, 735, 787), 849, 885, 930 yds of fingering weight yarn

Gauge:
24 sts s x 38 rows = 10 cm /4” in stockinette
st both flat and in the round, after blocking.

Needles:
2.5 mm (US 1.5 – 60 cm / 24” circular needles, or as required to obtain gauge.
Optional: Same size DPNs for the straps.

Notions
6-8 stitch markers, scrap yarn or spare cable, tapestry needle.
