Neapolitan Mitts

This is a quick, easy pattern with a little bit of stranded colorwork to keep things interesting. It includes a lift stitch technique to eliminate the dreaded “color jog,” and a mini-gusset above the thumb to help reduce pulling and holes along the thumb join.
Try it in high-contrast colors for mitts that pop, or use yarns with a similar color value for a soft, blended look.
This is a good project for using up leftover yarn, as each pair uses much less than a full skein.
My heartfelt thanks to my test knitters, Joan and Julie, and my hand models, Julie and Kari!
