Near the Shore
KNITTING IS LOVE! 25% OFF VALENTINE’S WEEKEND.
My mother-in-law’s 70th birthday was coming up in December, and it was decided that we would travel to Florida to visit her over the holidays. As I have never knitted for my mother-in-law, my husband helped me determine that a shawl would be perfect for her. Blue is her favorite color, so it made sense to knit with that color. He also helped me name the shawl as she lives near the shore in Florida (well, at least a lot closer than we do in Arizona), and you can always find sea shells on the shore.
Near the Shore is work in two parts and grafted together using Kitchener Stitch. Stranded colorwork is used to make the shells.
